Cooking Oil

There is a common misconception that cooking oil needs to be refrigerated in order to prolong its shelf life. However, this is not entirely accurate.
One reason why oil does not need to be refrigerated is because it has a high resistance to spoilage. Unlike perishable items such as dairy products or meat, oils have a much longer shelf life due to their low water content and high fat content. This means that they are less likely to harbor harmful bacteria or mold. Additionally, refrigeration can cause certain types of oil to solidify and become cloudy in appearance.
