Showtime has made a final decision regarding “The L Word: Generation Q,” opting to cancel the drama after completing three seasons. As reported by Deadline, Showtime has chosen not to renew the series. However, they are actively working on another spinoff within the same franchise, tentatively titled “The L Word: New York,” in collaboration with co-creator Ilene Chaiken.
The cancellation doesn’t come as a complete surprise, given recent developments. Showtime has refrained from renewing any series since the announcement in January that Showtime would undergo a rebranding as part of an integration with the Paramount+ streaming service.
