“Snowpiercer” is based on both the 2013 film of the same name, directed by Bong Joon-ho, and the 1982 French graphic novel “Le Transperceneige,” upon which the film was based. The show premiered on TNT in May 2020 and has been renewed for multiple seasons.
The premise of “Snowpiercer” is set in a dystopian future where the Earth has become a frozen wasteland due to a failed climate change experiment. The only survivors of humanity are the passengers aboard a massive, perpetually moving train called the Snowpiercer.
