Monty Norman was a British singer and composer that was best known for creating the “James Bond Theme.” Norman was one of the top musicians in the United Kingdom during the 50s and 60s and was one of the reasons why he was chosen to create the James Bond theme song.

Norman’s James Bond theme song was first heard in the film Dr. No and since then has become an iconic tune that represents James Bond films. Norman was awarded an Ivor Novello Award and Olivier Award for his musical work. Sadly, Norman passed away on July 11th at the age of 94 years old.
