Naomi Judd was best known for being a singer and actress that formed a duo with her daughter called The Judds. The Judds became one of the most popular country music acts during the 80s. The Judds became so popular that they won five Grammy Awards as well as nine Country Music Association awards.

The Judds performed until 1991 when Naomi was diagnosed with hepatitis. Naomi still performed with her daughter on special occasions but started to struggle with mental illness. Sadly, Naomi took her own life on April 30th at the age of 76, which was a day before The Judds were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
