Petersons isn’t new to journalism and delivering weather forecasts as she’s been doing so since 2002. She’s a Los Angeles native with an Atmospheric Physics degree from the University of Arizona. She got a job as a meteorologist at KVIA shortly after she got her degree.

She got her first big job in Los Angeles in 2003, when she was recruited to work for KABC as a weather producer and meteorologist. She has since had a couple of other successful roles and she now has her website. She is also happily married with two kids.
