Between 2010 to 2016, Fox News had the Nicaragua-born Maria Timmer as their meteorologist. The beauty queen grew up in Florida and bagged a degree from Florida State University in 2008, after which she proceeded to Columbia University, New York, and Central Michigan University for her Ph.D.

Her husband, Reed Timmer, has his web series where he documents his incredible adventures as a storm chaser. He nearly got trapped in a tornado during one thrilling adventure he had but he lived to tell the tale. Not only did he live to tell the tale, but more importantly, lived to continue to come home to Maria Timmer.
