Residents of Keokuk are leaving in numbers which is largely due to the drastic decrease in the housing market. Keokuk has seen a decrease in its population and is dwindling every year. Another reason why Keokuk is struggling is that there aren’t many job opportunities, leaving several people unemployed. It seems like Keokuk will be a dead city within a couple of years if things don’t change.
