Harry Belafonte is best known for being the most famous Jamaican-American pop artist, as he was the one that introduced Caribbean-style music to the world during the 1950s.  Some of his most popular songs are “The Banana Boat Song,” “Jamaica Farewell’, and “The Blues Is Man.”

Belafonte has also starred in several films throughout his career, which include Carmen Jones, Island in the Sun, and Odds Against Tomorrow. Belafonte is now 95 years old and still looking good for his age. Belafonte is a prominent political activist and has starred in several documentaries on the matter.
