Whether you’re looking for a quick weekend getaway or looking to enjoy something a little longer, to put it simply: Miami is where it’s at. But with so much popularity also comes a lot of gossip. People always have an awful lot to say about Miami,but how much of it is actually true? Sure, lots of the city’s reputation is based on fact, but there is also some that’s based on fiction. Everyone in Miami FL is Rich

Miami is full of wealthy people who own boats and live in multi-million dollar homes, so it can be easy to fall under the impression that everyone who lives in Miami is on the same page. However,  just like every other place, Miami is full of people from all walks of life and all socioeconomic backgrounds.

People Who Live in Miami Are Always At The Beach

‘If I lived in Miami, I would be at the beach everyday!’ This is a common misconception that people seem to have about people who live in places where other people go to vacation. However, if it simply isn’t true. If you live in Miami FL, there’s a good chance that where your job and other responsibilities are – so the city definitely won’t have that same leisurely feeling you experience when you visit.

There Is Always A Party In Miami

Okay, it’s not really a myth that there’s always something going on in Miami FL. Any place that thrives off tourism has to be run and exciting around the clock. However, the party scene in Miami isn’t necessarily like what you’ve seen on TV. Yes, there are lots of clubs and fun events, but every place in the city isn’t packed every weekend the way many people would like to think.

You Can Get Around Without A Car

Since Miami is a pretty big city, many people — especially those from the northeast — may think it’s not necessary to have a car in Miami. However, that’s not the case. While it certainly is possible to travel around the city without having your own car, it would definitely be a hassle as there is no major or reliable public transportation.

Everyone In Miami Is Superficial

Miami has gotten a bad rap for being a place full of people who are only concerned with their looks. While it is hard not to be focused on your body in a place that requires you to be beach ready all year, it simply just isn’t true that everyone in Miami is getting ready to book their next plastic surgery appointment.
