These meats tend to be high in sodium and unhealthy saturated fats, which may contribute to heart disease and cardiovascular issues when consumed in excess.

These fats are commonly found in margarine, certain baked goods, and processed snacks to improve texture, flavor, and shelf life. However, artificial trans fats can raise levels of LDL (bad) cholesterol in the blood while lowering levels of HDL (good) cholesterol, increasing the risk of heart disease and stroke. Many countries, like Denmark and Saudi Arabia, have banned or restricted using of artificial trans fats in food products due to their harmful effects on health.

High-Sodium Foods

Many processed foods, including canned soups, are high in sodium. Taking in excessive sodium can make your blood pressure high, which is a significant risk factor for stroke, heart disease, and kidney disease. Plus, it may be responsible for other health issues such as osteoporosis, stomach cancer, and water retention. Fresh, whole foods are better.

High-Calorie Coffee Drinks

Specialty coffee beverages like flavored lattes, mochas, and frappuccinos often contain added sugars, syrups, whipped cream, and other high-calorie ingredients that can significantly increase their calorie content. Consuming these high-calorie coffee drinks all the time can contribute to weight gain and a heightened risk of obesity, mainly when you don’t watch what time of the day you take them. The healthier option is black coffee with minimal added ingredients.

Moderate alcohol consumption has some health benefits, like better sensitivity to insulin and a positive influence on blood clotting. Adversely, excessive or binge drinking is not so healthy. Chronic abuse of it can lead to liver disease and even alcoholic hepatitis and cirrhosis. Long-term use can leave you addicted to it and increase your risk of various cancers (including bowel, liver, and breast cancer), digestive issues, mental health disorders, and cognitive impairment.
