Albright-Knox Gallery
Whether you love architecture or traditional art, this incredible location will blow you away. Built in 1890, the Albright-Knox Gallery is beautiful on both the inside and out. The gallery boasts modern and contemporary art, and over the years it has held works from artists such as Vincent van Gogh, Jackson Pollock, and Andy Warhol. In 1971, the gallery itself was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Garden
On a beautiful day, there’s nothing better than enjoying the wonders of nature. With that being said, a trip to the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Garden is definitely in order if you’re ever in the area. Created in 1900, this garden has been welcoming guests for well over 100 years, and it’s easy to see why people are drawn to this incredible place. The 11 acre garden is home to countless plants and also boasts a glass domed conservatory.

Lafayette Square
Although some parks are made for playing, others are made for admiring; Lafayette Square is one of them. This beautiful park in downtown Buffalo, which was named for General Gilbert Lafayette, was a part of the city’s original design. The park is home to a Civil War monument which represents all of the military branches. Aside from its modern history, the park is often used as a rallying point for celebrations and demonstrations.

Buffalo City Hall
Ok, so you’re probably wondering why on earth you’d ever want to go to a city hall. After all, these buildings tend to be pretty boring, and there’s usually no reason to visit unless you need to pay some ridiculous fine. However, Buffalo’s city hall building is an incredible piece or Art Deco architecture. Built in 1932, the 32-story building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

North Park Theater
Most of the time, taking a trip to the movies isn’t anything special. However, at Buffalo’s North Park Theater, seeing a movie is much more than just seeing a movie. Opened in 1920, the single screen theater shows influences of the neoclassical movement. However, aside from the theaters awesome design, guests can still enjoy the excitement of watching a film.
