Nestled on the campus of California State University Long Beach, the Earl Burns Miller Japanese garden is nearly two acres of incredible scenery. According to the garden’s website, “Dedicated in April 1981, the garden was built through the generosity of Mrs. Loraine Miller Collins. The contribution was made in memory of her late husband, Earl Burns Miller, for whom the 1.3 acre plot is named.” Designed in the image of classic Japanese gardens, this peaceful location is a great place to sit back and relax. For those who really love the garden, it can also be reserved for special events, and has become a very popular wedding location.
