Yes, for only $1.3 million 205 Venice Way, Venice, CA can be yours. While we understand that real estate in Venice has been rising in the last year, it’s getting to become borderline ludicrous. Curbed reported on a falling-apart shack that sold for $1.44 million, then a one-bedroom stucco hut asking $2.2 million featuring actual fingers in the listing photos.
And the trend continues. Recently this 1926 cottage near Windward Circle (and thus the beach), is asking more than a million dollars. The place is a complete mess, isn’t even 300 square feet and doesn’t even have a kitchen! But oh yeah, it’s near the beach? According to the listing it’s in need of “a serious rehab.” Apparently the place is being used as an architect’s office and is zoned for commercial use. However the lot size isn’t even 2000 sq ft.
There’s gated parking for two to four cars so yeah, $1.3 million should cover it. We’ve seen some crazy listings out there but this one has got to be right up there with some of the most obscene prices of the year.
We wish we had pictures of the interior but not even those are available. It’s just this one pic. I might just have to buy this place site unseen at this price!
