In a perfect world, celebrities would be nice to anyone who crosses their path.  You never know when someone is going to need you, or when you might need something from someone else.  and it’s nice to be able to show love to the people who have done the same for you. Unfortunately; however, all celebrities don’t see it this way.  There have been countess stories in the media about celebrities disrespecting their fans or just ignoring them all. Some stars are even so caught up in their own careers and schedules that they forget that there is anything around.  However, not treating people with respect is something that can always come back to bite you.  Here are 15 of the meanest celebrities to come from New York.

Lea Michele

Lea Michele may seem like a sweetheart, but word on the street is that she’s just the opposite.  Apparently, she has built a reputation for being mean and obnoxious and many people who have come in contact with her have noticed her bratty behavior.  There are several pages on the Internet that are dedicated to Lea Michele and her bad attitude.

Donald Trump

Queens native Donald Trump is all about business, and doesn’t care who he has to crush in the process.  If you’ve ever seen The Apprentice, then you’ll know that Donald Trump certainly doesn’t spare anyone’s feelings – ever. On top of his shrewd business tactics, Trump is never afraid to speak his mind under any circumstances.  If Donald Trump doesn’t like something, everyone is going to have to hear about it.

Christian Laettner

Former super star athlete, Christian Laettner was one of the best basketball players in Duke history.  During his time in college he became well-known for his bad attitude and rough style of play.  In fact, Laettner was so mean on the court that he would purposely start physical altercations with people – and sometimes even cause problems with his own teammates.  In a recent documentary about his athletic career, Laettner shared that he fed off of all the hate he received from the crowd.

Time and time again, Scarlett Johansson has been dubbed one of the meanest celebrities in Hollywood. Both fans and fellow celebrities have expressed opinions that Johansson can be very mean and full of herself, and Johansson has done nothing but proven people right.

Cuba Gooding Jr. 

Cuba Gooding Jr. mean? Yeah, it can be pretty hard to believe.  He’s always seemed like a pretty nice guy, but according to some fans, he’s not as nice as he seems.  Earlier this year, Gooding made headlines after he made a waiter cry.   Apparently, Gooding was not satisfied with the service he received, and decided to take matters into his own hands.  According to a source: “He [Gooding] grabbed a waiter by both shoulders and gave him a verbal shellacking.”

50 Cent

Since gaining mainstream fame over a decade ago, 50 Cent has been a huge bully.  When he first broke onto the scene, he started beefing with fellow hip-hop artist, Ja Rule, whose career he essentially ruined.  Just last year, 50 Cent went on a bit of a cyber bullying rampage when he uploaded a video in which he mocked boxer, Floyd Mayweather, for allegedly being illiterate.

Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez has the good girl act down, but it doesn’t seem to be enough to convince others that she isn’t actually mean. Over the course of her career, there have been several occasions in which Jennifer Lopez has been accused of being mean and difficult to work with. In 2012, many people found themselves disgusted with J.Lo when a report began to circulate that she refused to speak acknowledge the presence of a flight attendant who was trying to serve her.

Self proclaimed, “best rapper alive” Jay-Z was once a relatively unknown rapper from Brooklyn.  However, during the early 2000s he became one of the most popular rappers in the game, and as a result, he’s also become one pretty cocky dude.  Unlike other celebrities,  you won’t really hear much about Jay mistreating his fans or acting crazy, but for some reason – a lot of people just seem to think he’s a jerk, especially when it comes to some of his business moves.

Mel Gibson’s lack of self-control has caused him some serious problems over the years.  His strange outbursts and offensive comments have caused many people too dislike him, and he doesn’t seem to have much interest in changing people’s opinions of him.  Somehow he’s managed to rub everyone the wrong way, including some of his biggest fans.

Christina Aguilera doesn’t seem to have much interest in building a good relationship with her fans.  In fact, sometimes she even goes out of her way to avoid them.  While shopping a few years ago, she asked that the store be locked down to keep people out, and when she left the store, she refused to acknowledge any of the fans who were outside waiting to catch a glimpse of her.

When Charlie Sheen suffered his infamous melt down in 2011, it was clear that all of his manners had completely flown out of the window.  Sheen wasn’t afraid to speak his mind at all, no matter how he sounded, and some thought that his outburst would ruin his career for good.  Luckily, he was able to bounce back, but many have not been able to get over his behavior.
