When you hear the word Victorian, you probably immediately envision something old. However, this renovated Victorian home in Australia looks anything but old. Named Quarry House, the home was originally built in the 1880s, and was renovated and redesigned by Hook Turn Architecture. While the front of the home remains mostly the same, designers created an addition that draws on the “history of the surrounding area with its brick and bluestone quarrying.” The new design is made up of stacked boxes made of these materials. Inside, the home also features an updated design with trendy furniture and accessories. Take a look at Quarry House by Hook Turn Architecture.
