An architect uses their expansive knowledge to precisely plan, design and construct buildings. In fact, architects are not limited only to buildings. An architect can design intricate houses, office buildings, towering skyscrapers, large ships, and entire cities. There is a lot of work, knowledge, and attention to detail required in order to be a successful architect. When an architect designs a project, he needs to create a design that will meet and hopefully exceed their client’s expectations, that is architecturally sound (in other words they will not topple over, come crashing down or develop cracks), that are safe, and accessible.
They take the imaginary ideas they have formulated inside their heads and turn them into real, live 3D creations. Because of the skill and detail needed to create a structurally sound building, professional training is required to become an architect. An architect is trained in historical restoration, engineering, computer programming, environmental biology, and more. But often times the best architects give us a little something that goes beyond all the qualifications.
