The statistics show that of all of the schools within the Los Angeles Unified School District, the top rated public schools in LA are charter and magnet schools with lower student enrollment statistics. These are just a sampling of the ten most highly ranked schools in the district. Out of 8,000 total schools, there are many excellent choices. While not every public school in Los Angeles has a good ranking, we must say that overall, the options for high quality public education in LA are very good.
